David Cronenberg
David Paul Cronenberg, CC OOnt FRSC (lahir 15 Maret 1943) adalah seorang pembuat film, pemeran dan pengarang Kanada.[1] Cronenberg adalah salah satu originator utama dari apa yang umum dikenal sebagai genre horor tubuh atau horor viskeral. Gaya pembuatan film tersebut mengeksplor ketakutan orang terhadap transformasi tubuh atau infeksi. Dalam film-filmnya, psikologi biasanya dikaitkan dengan fisik.
Pada paruh pertama kariernya, ia mengeksplorasi tema-tema yang kebanyakan adalah horor dan fiksi ilmiah, meskipun karyanya berada di luar genre-genre tersebut. Film-filmnya memenangkan sejumlah penghargaan, termasuk Penghargaan Juri di Festival Film Cannes atas film buatannya Crash (1996).[2]
