Daniel Irvin "Dan" Rather, Jr. (lahir 31 Oktober 1931) adalah wartawan dan mantan jangkar berita CBS Evening News. Ia kini menjabat redaktur dan presenter program majalah berita di televisi, Dan Rather Reports di saluran televisi kabel HDNet.
Sepanjang kariernya dengan CBS, Dan Rather bertugas sebagai jangkar berita CBS Evening News selama 24 tahun, dari 9 Maret 1981 hingga 9 Maret 2005. Ia juga pernah menjadi koresponden 60 Minutes. Rather pensiun sebagai redaktur dan jangkar berita CBS Evening News pada tahun 2005 dan keluar dari CBS pada tahun berikutnya.
