Ia adalah pembawa acara The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, nonimasi Penghargaan Emmy, pemenang acara tengah malam Penghargaan Peabody yang mengudara di CBS.

Sebelum kariernya sebagai pembawa acara televisi tengah malam, Ferguson lebih dikenal di Amerika Serikat dari perannya sebagai bos kantoran, Nigel Wick, pada The Drew Carey Show (1996–2003). Ia juga menulis dan membintangi tiga film yang salah satunya disutradarai olehnya.
