Coronel

Coronel adalah komune Chili, milik provinsi Concepción, Region Biobío, terletak di setengah geografis dari Continental Chile 30 km selatan dari pusat ibukota regional, Concepción, membentuk bersama dengan komune Lota, bagian paling selatan dari wilayah metropolitan Greater Concepción. Luas total komune adalah 279 km², menjadi 99 km² perkotaan dan 180 km² pedesaan.

Wilayah komune berbatasan dengan utara dengan komune San Pedro de la Paz, Chiguayante dan Hualqui; di selatan dengan komune Lota dan Santa Juana; di timur dengan komune Hualqui, dan ke barat dengan Samudra Pasifik.

Pulau Santa María adalah bagian dari komune, yang diwakili di dalamnya oleh seorang utusan kotapraja.
