CD81

Molekul CD81 atau kluster diferensiasi 81 adalah protein yang disandi oleh gen CD81.[1][2] Protein juga dikenal sebagai 26 kDa protein permukaan sel, TAPA-1 (Target of the Antiproliferative Antibody 1), dan Tetraspanin-28 (Tspan-28).

Fungsi

Tempat penempelan/masuknya virus hepatitis C

Protein ini memainan peran penting dalam penempelan dan/atau masuknya virus hepatitis C, berinteraksi dengan heterodimer glikoprotein E1/E2.[3]

Sebagai protein tumpuan reseptor GPR56

GPR56 adalah reseptor yang termasuk dalam GPCR adhesi yang banyak terlibat dalam perkembangan tumor. CD81 terbukti berperan sebagai protein perancah atau tumpuan (scafolding protein) dalam menstabilkan kompleks GPR56-CD81-Galpha-q/11.[4]
