Borland Database Engine


Borland Database Engine (BDE) adalah mesin basis data intiberbasis Windows dan konektivitas perangkat lunak di balik Borland Delphi, C++Builder, IntraBuilder, Paradox untuk Windows, dan Visual dBASE untuk Windows.

Sejarah

Turbo Pascal Borland meliputi kotak alat "database", itu adalah awal dari kompiler Borland pengaya-tambahan yang difasilitasi konektivitas basis data. Lalu datanglah Paradox Engine for Windows – PXENGWIN – yang dapat dikompilasi ke dalam sebuah program untuk memfasilitasi konektivitas ke tabel Paradox.

Mesin konektivitas pertama berbasis DLL adalah ODAPI (Open Database API).
