BMPR2

BMPR2 adalah gen yang memberikan instruksi untuk membuat protein yang disebut bone morphogenetic protein receptor type II. Gen ini tergolong ke dalam kelompok gen yang berperan dalam meregulasi pertumbuhan dan diferensiasi tulang dan tulang rawan. Para peneliti juga telah mendapati bahwa kelompok gen ini turut serta dalam meregulasi pertumbuhan dan diferensiasi berbagai jenis sel.[1]

Mutasi pada gen BMPR2 dapat menyebabkan hipertensi paru.[2]
