Awasa (bahasa Amhara: አዋሳ?, juga dieja Awassa atau Hawassa) adalah sebuah kota yang terletak di pesisir Danau Awasa di Etiopia. Kota ini terletak sejauh 273 km di sebelah selatan Addis Ababa lewat Bishoftu, 130 km di sebelah timur Sodo, dan 75 km di sebelah utara Dilla. Awasa merupakan ibu kota Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region.

Awasa pernah menjadi ibu kota Provinsi Sidamo dari tahun 1978, tetapi provinsi ini kemudian dibubarkan setelah penetapan Konstitusi 1995. Di kota ini terdapat Universitas Hawassa dan Bandar Udara Awasa.
