Asai (Inggris: assay) atau penetapan (kadar) adalah prosedur pengukuran properti atau konsentrasi analit. Terdapat beberapa tipe asai, seperti antigen capture assay, bioasai, competitive protein binding assay, crude oil assay, four-point assay, imunoasai, microbiological assay, stem cell assay, dan lain-lain, termasuk asai konsentrasi.

Terdapat metode asai yang cocok untuk digunakan pada bahan mentah dan metode lainnya yang lebih cocok untuk barang jadi. Perak ditentukan kadarnya dengan titrasi, emas dengan cupellation dan platinum dengan spektrometri (ICP OES).[1][2]
