Mausoleum Syekh Safi

Ardabil (bahasa Persia: اردبیل; juga dikenal sebagai Ardebil; nama lama: Artavil) adalah sebuah kota bersejarah di Iran utara. Nama Ardabil berasal dari nama Zoroastrianisme Artavil, yang berarti kota suci. Ardabil adalah ibu kota Provinsi Ardabil. Penduduk kota ini berjumlah 340.386, yang kebanyakan berasal dari etnis Azerbaijan.

Kota ini terkenal akan produksi sutra dan permadani; permadani Ardabil yang sudah lama dianggap sebagai permadani persia paling klasik. Ardabil juga terkenal akan makam Syekh Safî ad-Dîn, eponim Dinasti Safavi.
