Androsida adalah istilah koordinat dari femisida dan hiponim dari gendersida.[1] Akat etimologi dari kata hibrida tersebut berasal dari perpaduan awalan Yunani andro yang artinya "pria" atau pemuda,[2] dengan akhiran Latin cide, yang artinya pembunuhan.[3]
