Albert Champion

Albert Champion

Albert Champion (5 April 1878 – 26 Oktober 1927) merupakan seorang pembalap sepeda trek Prancis dan kemudian seorang industrialis yang memenangkan Paris–Roubaix pada 1899. Pada 1905 ia mendirikan Perusahaan Albert Champion di Boston untuk membuat busi porselen dengan namanya di atasnya. Tiga tahun kemudian ia mendirikan Perusahaan Champion Ignition di Flint, Michigan.[1] Pada 1922 ia mengganti nama perusahaan menjadi AC Spark Plug Company, dengan inisialnya, untuk menyelesaikan di luar pengadilan dengan mitra aslinya dalam Albert Champion Company.[2] Perusahaan tersebut sekarang dikenal sebagai ACDelco dan dimiliki oleh General Motors.
