Adorers

Adorers atau dalam Bahasa Inggris Adorers of the Blood of Christ adalah salah satu Ordo Katolik yang didirikan oleh Santa Maria de Mattias dari Italia pada 1834, singkatan gelar untuk pengikut ordo ini adalah A.S.C. Arti dari nama ordo ini dalam bahasa Indonesia adalah Pencinta darah Kristus.

Karya

Ordo ini menjalankan Universitas Newman di Wichita, Kansas yang berasal dari sekolah untuk kaum perempuan pada tahun 1902.

Kejadian

Pada Oktober 1992, beberapa biarawati di antaranya Barbara Ann Muttra, Mary Joel Kolmer, Kathleen McGuire, Agnes Mueller, dan Shirley Kolmer terbunuh oleh tentara yang sedang berperang di Liberia. Diyakini bahwa dua di antara biarawati itu terjebak baku tembak ketika mereka melakukan perjalanan dari Gardnersville ke Barnersville; tetapi fakta sebenarnya tidak sepenuhnya diketahui.[1]
