3C 9 adalah kuasar lobus-dominan[1][3] yang terletak di konstelasi Pisces.

Pada tahun 1965, kuasar ini adalah objek astronomi terjauh yang ditemukan pada saat itu. Dan merupakan kuasar pertama dengan pergeseran merah melebihi 2.[4]
